Hello, I reached the "CTFDINPC-1 Indash Car-PC (1.2Ghz, 1GB RAM, 16GB Flash, IDE, AM / FM radio, Amplifier, GPS, WinXP)" I bought last week.

I need to reinstall Windows XP because I appear in many features Chinese and English language, and I use a CarPC software called inav3 "in Spanish and I want to make the whole system in Spanish too.

I booted from USB CD, Windows XP, but while booting the installation CD gives a blue screen error with the code 0x0000007B. Next, CarPC screen closes and the computer shuts down. If I try to turn back the LCD appears in the Message: Power Fail. This is solved if you unplug the voltage and plug in the overturn.

I think this error is because I must load the SATA controller of the mainboard via a USB floppy drive during boot and press F6. Is that correct? If so, you can send me the driver that I use?. Or I can make some emulacio of SATA in the bios? (I have not found)

I wanted a manual for reinstalling windows, but there is nothing documented on your site or in the user manual.

Thanks in advance.

Greetings

Actually it should be no problem to install Windows XP SP3 on the PC without needing any additional drivers.

USB CD/DVD drives often cause problems. It is a good idea to test all USB connectors of the PC.
eg. with CTFDINPC-1 you also can use the USB port which is hidden in the front.

hi!

No problem of CD / DVD, I installed windows 7 starter with the same CD / DVD without problems and no problems in installation and SATA drivers without problems.

A Request:

If someone has installed Windows XP SP2/SP3 successfully, could indicate their BIOS settings for SATA hard disk mode?

Thanks again

Hello again,

I've been trying to install windows xp all day without success.
I wanted to comment on the tests I've done.

1 - During the installation process begins: When you receive the "Press F6 to load SCSI / Raid Drivers" prompt, press F7 to bypass Advanced Configuration and PowerInterface (ACPI) detection.

It did not work.

2 - Format the HDD in FAT32 flash drive, with some use Booting from CD / DVD, copy the folder i386 Windows XP CD to c: and run the Winnt.exe, the installation starts but ..

Did not work either.

In all cases the CARPC always closes the screen and turns off the computer.

I hope some of you can help me or give me another idea ...

Thanks again to everyone.

Did you installed Win7 on the CarPC for testing ?

What do you mean exactly ?

If you still want WinXP, then please apply for RMA and send us the PC + your Win CD.
We then will install it for you.

Hello

If you know how to do it, would not it be easier to tell me how to do it?

You have already seen that I have enough knowledge to do so, and would be very cruel, that after seeing all the type of test I have done, given me not the right solution.

I understand that cartft.com should give me some explanation if the user manual is no indication whatsoever of doing so ... then .. the CD of Windows XP (DELL) to what I want?

If I send you the computer will not solve anything, because in future cases may need to do it again.

Thanks
Forgive me if I do not understand, but not much English and I use the google translator.
