Hello
I am using Intel 82945G/GZ card with CTF 400-M in
Ubuntu Linux using X.Org X Server 1.6.0.
First my CTF 400 seems to have its axis mixed. That
is: a left movement on the screen moves the cursor
up, a down movement on the screen moves the cursor
left and so on. Also no clicks seem to be registered,
because calibration with eGalaxTouch does not work
at all e.g. I cannot give first point in 4 point
calibration.
I have not been able to get the native resolution
800x480 to work, but instead 800x600 or 640x480.
That is a bit of problem, because those wrong
resolutions give a bit flatter view instead.
I have installed eGalaxTouch-2.07.3122-32b-k26.tar.gz
with setup.sh and manually with similar results. My
colleague did not deliver my any CD, so that
downloaded package is all have to work with.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That will be solved with first calibration. (can also be done with a Windows system).

Whats the serial number of the device ? ("True" or "Basic" 800x480 support)

It was already quite a work to get it to boot from its internal drive with
Linux without CD-station. Also I do not have access to Windows on USB.

Number on the label is: 080916 R70185. Following text is on the product's web page:
"Displays with True-800x480-Support achieve a pixel accurate view at 800x480@70Hz".
Other than that I do not know what is the difference between "True" and "Basic".

Your display only supports "Basic" mode. For more informations :

Here you can find timing parameters for Basic-mode :

With help of this converter you can convert to Linux parameters :

Lastest touchscreen drivers for Linux are available here :
