Since i could not get two MM400 Displays connect to an Intel D945GSEJT
I decided to by a Zotac ION-ITX-A.
Now i am trying the same thing... connecting two monitors. One straight to the VGA port and the other to the DVI-i Port with a DVI-2-VGA adapter.. But windows or the NVidia does not see the monitor connected to the DVI port...
I used two different Adapters:
This one:
And this one:
What am i doing wrong? i tried installing windows xp and windows vista but it doesn't seem to make a difference..

Because I answered your question already there :
"
The problem is that the DVI-output is a digital-only output. This means a simple adapter (for 5 EUR) will not work here. You will need a more expensive "converter", which converts the digital signal to analog ones. We do not offer such an adapter. Such adapters are usually priced ~100-300 EUR.
"
This is the same for the Zotac board. One analog VGA port and one DVI-D (digital only) output.

The description of the bios file sais this: Updated VBIOS for Dual-Link DVI support.
So the DVI port on this motherboard a Dual Link port. This means it can give a digital as well as an analog signal.
From Wikipedia:
The DVI connector usually contains pins to pass the DVI-native digital video signals. In the case of dual-link systems, additional pins are provided for the second set of data signals.
As well as digital signals, the DVI connector includes pins providing the same analog signals found on a VGA connector, allowing a VGA monitor to be connected with a simple plug adapter. This feature was included in order to make DVI universal, as it allows either type of monitor (analog or digital) to be operated from the same connector.
The DVI connector on a device is therefore given one of four names, depending on which signals it implements:
* DVI-D (digital only)
* DVI-A (analog only)
* DVI-I (integrated, digital & analog)
* M1-DA (integrated, digital, analog & USB) Here is a Link to a BIOS upgrade of the Zotac IONITX Mainboard.

Ofcourse i did this upgrade but without any results...

If this is true, then Zotac offers the first ITX mainboard with possibility for DualChannel output to 2x Analog DSUB-15 VGA monitors.
-> Did you tried this with an other analog display already ?
-> Did you contacted Zotac about this issue already ?

Message has been edited, Click Here to view/hide original messageOriginal Message - [09/01/2009] Yes i have tried to connect several monitors... i have also switched the monitors to see if that makes any difference.
I did not yet contact Zotac about this... my experience is whet i try to contact a manufacture straight on that they always point you to the vendor...
So you are telling me that there is no ITX mainboard on the market that can drive two analog displays? :-( if i knew that i would have bought another descent Micro-ATX mainboard and a expensive DC-DC converter...
Do you think it is worth a try to contact Zotac? Yes i have tried to connect several monitors... i have also switched the monitors to see if that makes any difference.

"Updated VBIOS for Dual-Link DVI support"
I do not think that this means "DVI-I". Dual-Link only means that two digital signals can be transmitted which enables higher resolutions.

At least we do not know any. But this does not neccessarily meant that none exists.
