Hello!
I would like to set up a pc on my car and don't know what to begin with...
I want to have all the fun and usefull capabilities that a pc provides but i would like to have it connected to the Amplifier (that i have and) that drives the four speakers and the Sub. So, my first question is, can i have the PC connected to the Amp directly? In another words, can i eliminate the car radio?
I don't know much about car audio and i haven't asked nobody yet... so i just did some all alone thinking... There are pc audio cards that have "5,1" and from what i know this means that would have at least 5 channels (F.right, F.left, R.right, R.left and Sub - plus the center that i would not use). There are cables that are mini-jacks at one end and RCA's at the other... Couldn't i use this solution to connect the PC to the amp? And if so, the amp as a connection that comes from the "car radio" that acts as a remote to (from what i heard) switch it on and off. Is it possible to use something else to work as a remote since i don't want to use the car radio anymore?
Can anyone give me some help?
Thanks.
