Hi all,
has anyone had any success with the GPS Mouse (Sirf II Chipset) and the Sony Clie N Series Cable?
The GPS seems to work OK: it gets a fix and the led flashes. Also the cable gives power to the PDA through the car lighter plug. However, there seems to be no communication of NMEA data between the GPS and the Clie.
I've tried several GPS programs to no avail. Also I tried some serial console / telnet programs on the Clie, to get the raw output, and again, got nothing.
My suscpicion is that the 7?? series have something different , or perhaps my model is not good (I got it second-hand).
But, if anyone has any experience with PEG-N*** Clie and the GPS mouse, I would really appreciate to hear your success (or not) story. For instance, which serial port did you choose in the interface? Did it work on first try?
TIA,
Alexandros

I don't know, what Sony Clie PEG-N710C cable is - but, when you trying telnet to the com port - try various speeds.
(When I'm testing GPS connections - first of all I use Terminal conection, too. To be sure, data is coming through)
Choose serial port, which is free.
