I have just installed the latest release of Mandriva 2006 (linux Mandrake) on VIA EPIA ME6000 board plugged on a 800TSV touch screen . This touch screen is managed thru USB port. Before the installation of the touchkit driver attached to 800TSV screen, this one is recognized by my linux system as an USB mouse (I guess). My problem is an inversion between horizontal and vertical position when I touch the screen with my finger. When I press up, cursor goes on the right-hand side and so on... this is not very practical....
My question is : How can I configure USB driver of this strange mouse which is already recognized by the system ? Or how can I remove it to install the touchkit driver coming with 800TSV screen (at that time, an installation of this driver has no effect on the behavior of my touch screen).
I have already tried to remove usb from /etc/modprobe.conf but it doesn't work.
Like I am newbies, I will really appreciate your help .
Philippe.

You can find an installation manual for Linux here :
http://www.cartft.com/support/drivers/TFT/tftdrivers/Manual_Linux-v1.0.2.pdf
Also you should have a look at the kernel options :
There is a kernel module called "egalax touchscreen" since kernel 2.6, which
is compatible with the 800TSV.
