Hello,

we are having trouble configuring the display's native resolution for in-car usage:

Using the resolutions windows shows by default (800x600 etc), everything looks streched (obviously).

On your site, we found drivers that are supposed to provide the true resolutions, but they seem to work with intel graphics cards only. Unfortunately we only have ATI and Nvidia cards.

For those cards, you seem to recommend the "PowerStrip" tool, which we also cannot get working. In one of the dialogs ("custom resolutions"), whenever we apply the settings, they always switch back to 800x600. Is there a detailed guide on how to do this?

Thanks in advance!

I re-post the message without confusion, admin if you can make some order and cancel my old post... Thank you.

You mean "standard 800x600 fine text looks unreadeable", isn't it? Yes, it's the same for me.

Also for me 720x480 works, but the quality is still bad, and screen geometry is not always perfect (also with manual geometry settings)....

Settings posted still now don't work for me, too. I always get "Out of range" message. I don't think CarTFT staff finded a solution still now, I hope they give us a DEFINITIVE solution because I've bought a CTF700-V2 FOR THAT FEATURE and I've spent a lot of money for this object. I was sure it works because in product spec page is CLEARLY DECLARED that IT SUPPORTS 800x480 NATIVE resolution.

I know it's not always easy with so many harware (graphic chipsets & mobos in this case) on the market, but please understand my disappointment when I discover that I've spent almost ¤ 500 for a monitor which is not fully functional as declared on CarTFT shop.... What's the advantage to have a REAL TRASFLECTIVE monitor if you can't read the text on it because resolution is not the panel native one ????

Serial no: 090513 S71461 . I've read it under bar code on the label back to the monitor. Is it right ?

It's a CTF700-SH(V2).

I found perfect settings for my CTF700-SHM and Nvidia graphics:

General settings :
Horizontal Pixel : 800, Vertical rows : 480
Refresh frequency : 70, Color depth : 32
Scantype : Progressive

Timing: "manual"
- Horizontal -
Active Pixel : 800
Front porch : 40
Sync width : 80
Total : 1040
Sync : +

- Vertical -
Active Pixel : 480
Front porch : 20
Sync width : 8
Total : 531
Sync : +

And heres the change:
Frequency : 70.803

After that I had to play around several times with the "Auto Adjust" setting of the monitor itself and manual adjusting in between for a perfect picture without vibrations, etc.

Another setting that worked for me quite well was the auto setting of the Nvidia Control Panel with 60 Hz (not as good as this 71 Hz setting, though).
