Hi,

I have purchased a CTF700-HM TFT 2 weeks ago, order 8214746.
Since the beginning I've noticed a strange problem with the display, meaning that it refuse to lit up from the first time when the PC starts. Only after I shutdown the PC 2-3 time it begins to display the image.
So, more details : PC is a VoomPC with TFT power connector (CTF700 connected to this connector), Intel D945GCLF2 mainboard.
Like I said this behaviour I noticed since I was playing with the system at home and the TFT was power up with Power Adapter f. EU 230V provided in the package (so I exclude the VOOM TFT power connector and some other car power issues since the problem occurred also at my home).
I hopped that the problem will disappear once the system will be installed in my car, but it didn't Sad

So, the display refuse to lit up (display image) from the first time sometimes. I know for sure that the system (CarPC) is running because I can hear music playing in Centrafuse, but I can't see no image... Even stranger, the touchscreen is working in this situation !!If I press the touchscreen when there is no image, it works, it sends the commands to PC.
This problem occurs from what I observed only after a period of inactivity. For example last night (after I didn't used the car for 1 day) the TFT didn't lit up. After I stopped and started the CarPC for 2-3 times (or something like that) the TFT started to work. After that I didn't had any problem all night. I shut down the CarPC several times, and the TFT worked flawlessly ! But like I suspected, this morning the problem occurred again. Started and stopped the CarPC (meaning started and stopped the engine, waiting the WindowsXP shutdown gracefully) 2 times, after that the TFT lighted up !

So, please help me with a possible explanation, resolution, cause is very very annoying !
Sorry for such a long mail but I tried to give as many details I have in order to solve this problem.

Thank you,
Alex

Well, the support team is very "customer orientated", I'm so happy with the support they provide...
It's a shame, I wouldn't recommend anyone to order from them.

Dear muntos, Dear xdaeire,

so far we were not able to replicate this phenomen. So as of now we can not confirm that this is a general problem. I suggest that you apply for RMA and send in the displays for checking.
